In Tehran, bewildered diplomats told me they suspect the Trump administration is exploiting nuclear negotiations as a instrument for generating instability to weaken Iran’s economy and foment social strife
"advancements in radiotherapy to the production of anti-cancer drugs to the sterilization of medical devices and protection of agriculture"
Why does Iran have to reinvent the wheel.
If they need nuclear energy for s3vurity why not buy a few from the French or from GE or from some other country that have build nuclear energy plants. The same can be said for (and I Quote): advancements in radiotherapy to the production of anti-cancer drugs to the sterilization of medical devices and protection of agriculture.
Why reinvent these products buy these products from the international market.
They should put their talents and resources elsewhere. We should lift the sanctions give them heir money back and than they can stop enriching and buy nuclear in the market place.
And nuclear powers should destroy all nuclear weapons. Going the nuclear bombs route is insane. But so is what's going on in Palestine and Kiev and Sudan and .......and ....
*Us humans are insane*

Seems like a scenario of a cat playing with a mouse before destroying it? I hold a prejudice toward Iranians from years ago in the 60's in Detroit when many were allowed to immigrate here. Dealing in real estate leases with them was difficult because their attitude was they could change their minds at anytime regarding lease requirements because it was their God given right to do so. Many also married American women, paid them money for the marriage and divorced them in a year having never actually lived with them. So I personally would not trust them. However that does not mean the U.S. negotiators are any better.
I trust the Iranian people. When I was there, I was treated with friendliness, warmth and respect. They are a peaceful people. All they should say when the lying Americans say they can't have nuclear weapons (which they said since 2003, they would never have) is, "The Israelis have them." Personally, they should have them to ward off the threat from Israel.
You don't trust them? Don't trust them to pursue their countries best interest because you thought they were self serving and didn't follow the rules, or abide by America's "moral" standards when some Iranians immigrated to the US back in the 60's? Pardon me, but I don't get your logic, and maybe it's because your prejudice determines that. Also think about the fact the US ousted Iran's Prime Minister, Mohammad Mosaddegh in the early 1950's, and Teddy Roosevelt's grandson played a significant role in implementing that. Iran wound up with the Shah, so maybe that played a role in their disregard for America's "rules." Not to mention Britain wanted almost all of the oil it pumped out of Iran, and devoutly resisted sharing more.
Great article. Thanks for giving us some real journalism.
I don't blame the Iranians for not trusting what Trump says, because he seems to have a change of heart every time his heart beats.

We did overthrow their government in 1953 and install a real prick as a leader, maybe they were a bit bitter about it.
You think?????????
