not to be “inverse whataboutism,” but I find it perverse that until ur Live with Kit had never heard about this. but 25 years ago there was nothing but magdalene laundry horrors all over every news outlet, which just goes to prove I guess, powerful child abusers always punch down (obviously)and the nuns were “merely” cruel, and generally dealing with the outcomes of pedophilia against girl children, not pedo traffickers. one wonders if magdalene laundry leaks were limited hang out/deflection from Kincora. No honor among sickos I guess. kinda makes u think if u have a kid never leave them unattended in the company of any male, you know? i mean, that’s what I’m getting from the epstein files and this.

This reminds me of Tasmania where I grew up. It's a place infested with institutional child abuse. While not a victim I was a witness and even gave evidence at a Royal Commission. What struck me was that while some enquiries may be compromised, others are quite sound. But exposing abuse properly doesn't seem to be a means of stopping it. Networks continue to be built on it all over the world. Why does getting and wielding power so often involve gratuitously hurting less powerful people? How does it ever stop?
